PETA...
good
or
bad?
just to kick off things ;)
well, here's what i think:
I find that they are extreme and their campaign is more of a publicity stunt then animal rights (ahem, ahem, bombing buildings? and creating that new ad that made reference to the guy who got beheaded on the bus; you know, that having to do with eating other animal's flesh and rights and stuff). Plus a lot of celebrities support PETA; don't you think that if they got all this support and people are donating money and stuff, has it ever occured to you how much money they spend on advertising versus taking action?
I think that PETA is good for getting people aware of animal cruelty and testing,, but honestly, I think that they're a little insane!!!!! Blowing up building??!?!?!?! yes that's gonna help everyone!!!! When we did that thing at school, i found a website that said that 1% (or something VERY small) of their money actually went to helping animals. The rest (or close to the rest) went to publicity stuff. I know that the internet isn't always right, but it doesn't seem like they do too much good for the animals.
I wonder what made PETA so recongnizable above all the other animal organizations. was it the bombs or their statement that made people say 'hey, i think they're trying to say something'.
I think it was the lame-o adds. here's one, I think it was banned.
